STOKE residents are being invited to apply for the position of clerk to Stoke Parish Council.

The position will become vacant in January, and the successful applicant needs to be contracted to work a minimum of 15 hours.

Outside scheduled meeting times, the hours are flexible.

The clerk will also be the responsible financial officer, and pay will be aligned with the National Association of Local Councils, (NALC), recommended pay scale.

Applicants are expected to have a good basic knowledge of word and excel, or their equivalents.

Previous relevant experience would be an advantage, and training will be available.
