ASPIRING poets are invited to a Poetry in the Park event taking place at Mary Stevens Park this weekend.
The Norton park is hosting the event on Saturday October 4 in celebration of National Poetry Day (Thursday October 2).
A session for children will run from 10.30am to 11.30am at the healthy hub/activity centre - and adults are invited to attend between 3.30pm and 4.30pm.
The sessions, organised by park ranger Debbie Merrick as part of a Heritage Lottery Fund scheme to champion the history, heritage and wildlife of the park, are aimed at novice poets.
A £1 donation is suggested.
