TIRED of singing to yourself in the shower?

Have you ever wanted to get up on stage and sing with an established local choir?

In their search for new members, the Bel Canto Singers are throwing open their doors at 7.30pm on Monday, October 20, at Crabb’s Cross Methodist Chapel.

Following the arrival of CBSO musician, Wendy Quirk, as the choir’s new accompanist and a highly successful concert at Cookhill Village Hall last month, in support of the charity Help for Heroes, chairman Polly Speers believes the time is right to recruit new members.

She said: "We’re a community choir based in Redditch and currently have about 40 members. But, we’d love to welcome more.

"We sing a varied mix of popular songs, choral pieces and extracts from musicals and light opera.

"No experience is required and prospective members don’t need to be able to read music.

"So anyone who enjoys singing, particularly men, and would like to join a friendly, welcoming choir, should come along to our open evening.”
