A DROITWICH youngster has earned a scholarship to study at the University of Worcester after he achieved outstanding grades at college.
Ben Weeks, who has just completed an Extended Diploma in IT and software development at NEW College in Bromsgrove, achieved an incredible triple distinction.
The results meant the 18-year-old qualified for a £1,000 first year scholarship at any English university, and he has chosen to use the scholarship to study for a degree in Computing at the University of Worcester.
Mr Weeks said: “I chose Worcester as my local university, which offered me the opportunity to develop further understanding of computing and IT. I am hoping it will lead me to a career in the IT industry.”
