POLICE are appealing for information following the death of an elderly woman who was hit by a car in Kingswinford.
Moira May Coulson was struck by a white Ford Focus near to West Bromwich Building Society, on Market Street, just after 10am on Saturday (December 13).
The 75-year-old from Swindon, near Dudley, was treated at the scene before she was taken to hospital, where she later died.
The driver was spoken to by officers and the road was closed whilst emergency services dealt with the collision.
Moira's family have paid tribute to her, saying: "Moira had lived in the village for over 40 years and was well known for helping out at church and village events, as well as being a member of the Women's Institute."
Anyone who witnessed the collision should call West Midlands Police on 101.
