CHILDREN at St Peter’s First School in Droitwich celebrated the last day of term before the Easter holidays with an Easter bonnet parade.
The youngsters made an decorated their own Easter bonnets, which they were allowed to wear down to St Peter’s Church for the end of term service with their parents and carers.
The Easter bonnets are a popular tradition at the school, and the wearing of Easter bonnets is part of a much longer tradition of wearing new clothes at Easter, which dates back as far as the 16th century.
