CHILDREN at Lickey End Playgroup took part in an impressive Easter bonnet parade to show off their handy work.

There were hats with rabbits on, colourful eggs and plenty of chickens which the children bravely showed off on the catwalk around the hall in front of their proud parents.

The playgroup also celebrated the launch of a Community Public Access Defibrillator (CPAD).

The local community, Lickey End Methodist Church and families from playgroup all helped to raise £1,000 over the last few months to make this possible. A spokesman said: "We would like to thank all those who contributed, Lee from A. Blick and Son Ltd for providing his time and connecting the CPAD to the mains, and a special thank you to Rob and Maggie Prentice-Underwood who kindly donated the pink installation box in memory of their two children Charlotte and Craig.

"Rob and Maggie are also kindly providing the playgroup staff and the local community with training on CPR and how to use a defibrillator.

"If you’re passing by the church please have a look at the lovely pink box which houses this wonderful life saving device."
