A MAN has breached a conditional discharge by damaging a till in a Stourport pizza shop.

Mitchell Lacy admitted committing the criminal damage, worth £230, at Goodfellas on February 21 when he appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates' Court on Thursday, April 30.

The 23-year-old also appeared on an assault by beating charge against Pavan Rattu but pleaded not guilty claiming it was a case of mistaken identity.

By pleading guilty to the criminal damage offence, Lacy, of Linden Avenue, Stourport, has put himself in breach of an 18-month conditional discharge imposed on him for assaulting a police officer and being drunk and disorderly.

Chairman of the magistrates Simon Egerton adjourned the case until July 17 when a trial will be held to determine whether Lacy is innocent or guilty of the assault charge. Following the trial, Lacy will be sentenced for all convicted offences.

Lacy was bailed on the condition he does not enter Goodfellas and does not contact the injured party, Mr Rattu.
