A STOURPORT Tesco manager will be running a half marathon in the store foyer to raise money for charity tomorrow.

Dan Gittus is running a half marathon on a treadmill in the foyer of the Severn Road store tomorrow (Saturday, May 2) in aid of Diabetes UK and the British Heart Foundation, which are Tesco’s chosen charities of the year.

The store has teamed up with Stourport Leisure Centre, who have provided them with equipment and will be leading activities throughout the day.

Abigail Weavers, the community champion for the Stourport store, said: “They will be in the foyer from 11am and will be handing out free passes and giving fitness advice.

“They will also be bringing their smoothie bike to the store, so people will be able to have a go and also try some of the smoothies they make.

“At 1.30pm a group of cheerleaders, who are also a part of the gym, will be coming to do a few routines, before Dan makes his way to the treadmill at 2pm.”
