TWO Dudley men arrested on Thursday (April 30) as part of an investigation into disorder at a football match have been bailed pending further enquiries.

A 27-year-old from Stourbridge and a 19-year-old from Kingswinford were detained as officers made dawn visits to addresses after violence flared at the derby match between Birmingham City and Wolverhampton Wanderers earlier this month.

They have been bailed with strict conditions which prohibit them from attending any Wolves matches in the coming weeks.

A 41-year-old and a 43-year-old, both from Wolverhampton, who were also arrested on Thursday morning have been bailed with the same conditions.

Two more men were arrested later in the day on Thursday – one of whom also featured in the CCTV appeal as his identity had not been confirmed.

A seventh man also handed himself into police after seeing himself in the images that were released – he was also bailed with conditions while the investigation continues.

Another man has been identified following the appeal and will be spoken to by officers “in due course”.

West Midlands Police said officers are continuing to appeal for help to track down those involved in the violent scenes after the match.

Anyone who recognises any of the remaining eight men in the images is asked to come forward and contact police as soon as possible. Call DI Paul Joyce on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
