DRINKERS will be raising a toast at the 13th Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) Bromsgrove Beer Festival.

The popular event, organised by the Redditch and Bromsgrove branch of CAMRA, is being held at Bromsgrove Rugby Football Club, in Finstall Park, Finstall.

At the event visitors will be able to choose from 120 real ales and 50 ciders and perries that will be on sale, served in pint, half pint and third measures.

Festival-goers will also be able to enjoy a wide range of food including hot dogs, pizza and burgers, while there also will be a CAMRA membership stand and a stall selling books and merchandise.

The festival opens to card-carrying CAMRA members on Thursday, June 25, from 6pm to 11pm.

It opens to the public at noon on Friday, June 26, until around 11pm.

The festival continues on the Saturday, being held from 11am until 9pm on Saturday, June 27.

Tutored tasting sessions showcasing the different variety of real ales being produced across the county have been organised taking place on the Friday evening and Saturday afternoon.

This year, the festival charity and logo theme is supporting the Worcester Birmingham and Droitwich Canal Society, which is celebrating 200 years of navigation on the Worcester to Birmingham canal.

The society will have a tombola stall at the event.

Entrance costs £5, which includes a commemorative festival glass and programme.

There are discounts for CAMRA card carrying members.

There is a separate bar at the club and this year there will be live bands playing on the Friday and Saturday evenings.

Camping is available at the club on a first-come first-served basis at £5 per night for a tent, £10 per night for a camper.

The festival is warning consumption of own alcohol, and antisocial behaviour will not be tolerated.

There will be limited parking at the rugby club, so festival-goers are encouraged to use taxi, bus and train services.
