THERE will be some clowning around at a Stourport care home next weekend when it hosts its summer fete and barbecue.

Ravenhurst Residential Care Home, in Lickhill Road North, will host the community event on Saturday, August 15, between 1 and 5pm.

There will be an appearance by a very special clown, otherwise known as the home’s senior carer Tracy Sullivan, wet sponges being thrown at people in the stocks, a barbecue, stalls, competitions, music and an ice cream van.

Carla Siwicki, the home’s activities leader, said: “Our residents and the team here love our annual summer fete.

“It is a lovely way to celebrate the summer with people from our local community, so we look forward to seeing some new and familiar faces.”

All are welcome to attend.
