A BRIERLEY Hill children’s organisation is getting set to celebrate the achievements of courageous young people at a red-carpet award ceremony.

Tappy Twins, a support group which helps young people learn how to take control of their emotions, will honour children who have experienced and overcome major traumas and issues in their lives.

The Courageous Kids Awards 2015 will take place at The University of Birmingham on November 21, with award judges including presenters Gary Newbon and Bob Hall, Radio DJ Johnny Doom and seven times archery world champion and gold medallist Danielle Brown.

Suzanne Skeete, founder of Tappy Twins, said: “We have been working manically over the past few weeks and have managed to secure some fantastic judges, host and mentors.

“Our host is the amazing TV presenter Marverine Cole and each of the 14 judges bring their own areas of expertise to the table.

“Alongside this, we have obtained some amazing auction and raffle prizes, for example a tailor made suit from Clements and Church worth £1,500.

“Whilst we are finding people’s generosity incredible, there is still a long way to go – so all help needed with sponsors and donations.

“We also need to cloth around 15 of the children and are looking for any company or person to help support them. We want them to look and feel like kings and queens, as they deserve.”
