A BROMSGROVE school's fete has raised an impressive amount through the support of staff, children and residents.

St Peter's First School, in Rock Hill, organised a St Peter's Children Have Talent show, designed to introduce children to the stage.

Singers, dancers, gymnasts, musicians and comedy acts performed with children being awarded a certificate.

An American diner provided teas and coffee, with delicious homemade chocolate brownies and a colourful array of American style doughnuts.

Flowers and plants were donated from Homebase for a stall, and a tombola battle stall proved popular.

The event raised a staggering £3,000 for the parish and school.

Therese Trueman, one of the organisers, said: "Theresa Robinson - chairman of the Friends of St Peters - was the brilliant compere.

"Our grateful thanks once again to all from school and parish who generously gave up so much of their time to make the day such a success. We couldn’t have raised so much without their dedicated help.

"To the companies whose generosity helped raise such a fantastic amount - What!, Co-Op, Aldi, Homebase, Morrisons, Asda, Greggs and Paul Hulse Photography in Bromsgrove - we offer our huge thanks and appreciation."
