A PROJECT launched by Bewdley Town Council to reduce isolation and loneliness has a new partner.

The Together Project has joined forces with Age UK Herefordshire and Worcestershire who have launched a new scheme called ‘Reconnections’ which will cover the whole of Worcestershire identifying people who need help assessing their needs and offering appropriate support.

The Together Project will act as an activity partner for the new scheme.

Councillor Anne Mace, who runs the Together Project, said: “We are very excited to be part of this scheme.

“Our first action is to cover the whole of Wyre Forest with our existing service. If additional needs are identified we aim to expand our service further.

“Currently we run two sessions a month with our existing partners, the Friends of Bewdley Museum and Reaching Out.

“If you would like some company and relaxation in pleasant surroundings do come and join us, you can be certain of a warm welcome, a little entertainment and of course, tea or coffee and cakes.

“Come and try it to see if it is for you.”

They meet twice a month in the Wribbenhall Parish Rooms, in Kidderminster Road, on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month, between 2pm and 4pm.
