REDDITCH’S Black Tap Brew Pub on Church Green East (opposite the band stand) continues to go from strength to strength.

The pub, which opened in August last year, has announced that John Nowacki, from the Ambridge Brewing Company will be joining the Black Tap team as head of brewing.

Mr Nowacki has gained an enviable reputation over the last few years as an extremely talented brewer at his own brewery based in Inkberrow.

Rated ‘Best Brewer in Worcester’ in the recent ratebeer.com awards, he will now be helping to perfect the Redditch beer drinkers’ preferred pint.

“I can’t wait to get brewing at The Black Tap," said Mr Nowacki.

“They’re a great bunch and are really passionate about bringing high quality beer and a great atmosphere to the people of Redditch and the surrounding areas.

"The nature of the brewing kit in The Tap means we can produce some exciting niche brews that would be impossible to make using a bigger set up. This gives me the best of both worlds."

On site at the Black Tap is a brewing facility to brew all kinds of craft beers, with customers being able to see the beer being brewed.

Favourites Morning Glory and White Lady will still be available over the bar but customers can expect to see some new beers appearing.

Grant Stain, owner, said: “I can’t believe how lucky we are to have a brewer of John’s quality brewing for us every week. I will be first in line to taste his work, Redditch is privileged indeed.”
