A SERIAL fundraiser will take on seven marathons in seven days to raise funds for a children’s cancer charity.
Julie Hardiman, of Kidderminster, will take part in the Hot Runner – which consists of 10K, half marathons or marathons over the course of seven days, between February 15 and February 21.
Julie, who has been raising funds for Children with Cancer UK since 2010, raising more than £20,000, was encouraged to take part by personal trainer Luan Wall.
She said: “I was encouraged by Luan to join her to run seven marathons in seven days – a first for the pair of us.
“I have previously ran two marathons but they were five years apart so it is going to be a huge challenge.
“Being a serial fundraiser for Children with Cancer UK, I thought this was the perfect opportunity to try to raise more money for the charity.”
l The group funds research into causes and treatments and supports families affected by cancer. Sponsor Julie at virginmoneygiving.com/JulieHardiman
