SHIVER Me Timbers! Pirates will be visiting Stourport Basins for an afternoon of fun next month.
The event, organised by Stourport Forward, will be held on Saturday, June 4 from 12noon until 4pm with a host of activities available for people of all ages to enjoy.
Old favourites the Pirate Crew and Wythe Retinue will be making a camp in the Tontine Gardens giving people the chance to brush up on your pirating skills, with demonstrations of swordplay and cannon fire.
A pirate ship will be re-created on Bramble in the lower basin with a nautical soundscape and visits to the boat by Captain Kydd.
Children’s activities will start in the Tontine Gardens and include a pirate trail, poetry and a parade from 4pm.
There will also be a ‘Pirate Raid’ explorers’ children’s’ activity for four to 11-year-olds.
