DESPITE the wet weather, members of the Hagley and Rubery Safer Neighbourhood Team were out over the weekend marking bikes to offer people greater security.

The free bike marking event, which took place outside Hagley Library on Saturday, saw PCSO Williams and PCSO Lloyd hosted the event, marking more than 20 bikes and offering crime prevention advice to members of the public, as well as giving them the opportunity o sign up to immobilise.com and bikeregister.com

A spokesman for the team said: “It was great to see all ages of the Hagley community wanting to take advantage of our free session. The positive feedback for the event and its intention to prevent bike theft this spring and summer was very encouraging.

“We would like to take this opportunity to thank the Hagley Library for their support with this event and for the positive response from the community and spreading the word to family and friends for future events.”

If anyone would like any more information on the event, or wants to speak to someone regarding crime prevention advice, they can contact the Hagley and Rubery Safer Neighbourhood Team at hr.snt@westmercia.pnn.police.uk.
