THE annual exhibition in support of the Friends of Bewdley Museum was opened last week.

The Bewdley Open Studios exhibition, held in the Wyre Forest Gallery at the museum, was opened by Bewdley Mayor, Councillor John Beeson, on Friday, May 20.

Cllr Beeson had the unenviable task of choosing the winners for the Shambles Café prize and the Highly Commended Friends of Bewdley Museum prize.

Following much deliberation, Cllr Beeson chose ‘Tea for Three’ acrylic on canvas by Sophie St Clair Pedroza, and ‘Two Seasons’, a pastel picture by Steve Morris.

Organisers of the popular event said they were pleased by the response of local artists and jewellers in support of the Friends of Bewdley Museum and that the quality and diversity of the work never ceases to amaze.

Bewdley Open Studios is an event supported by the Friends of Bewdley Museum that gives local artists the platform to show their work and open their studios to the public.

The exhibition will now run in the Wyre Forest Gallery until July 10.
