JOYFUL sounds of Stourbridge's Got 2 Sing choir will be entertaining shoppers around the town centre on Friday (September 30).

About 40 members of the choir will be out and about in force as they raise awareness for Macmillan Cancer Support’s ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’.

Members will be ‘touring’ coffee shops to help promote the annual event and promise to perform – in exchange for a donation to the charity.

Beth Dunn, choir director and founder, said: “The coffee morning is a fantastic initiative by Macmillan and a fun way to raise funds.

“We wanted to draw as much attention for it as we could by doing what we do best – singing!

“We will also be holding a cake sale at choir on Thursday (September 29) to hopefully boost funds even further. Everyone’s welcome to drop in and enjoy what will be a special evening for Got 2 Sing.”

Invitations are out to all members of the public to visit the choir for a slice of cake, a sing-a-long, or just to enjoy the singing at Gigmill Primary School on Thursday evening.

The junior choir, for nine to 16-year-olds, runs from 6pm until 7.30pm and the adult choir will be singing between 7.30pm and 9pm.
