A DEAL to sell part of a council car park in Kidderminster which would see almost half the spaces lost looks set to be completed.
Wyre Forest District Council’s cabinet agreed to the principle of selling off a section of Comberton Place car park at a meeting in December 2014.
Liberal Democrat Councillor Fran Oborski said the authority had found a purchaser and the land would be used for a housing development.
If the deal goes through, 34 of the current 80 parking spaces would be removed.
Councillor Becky Vale, Wyre Forest District Council’s Cabinet Member for Operational Services said: “There is a proposal to dispose of part of the Comberton Place car park.
“Approximately 34 car parking spaces would be lost if a sale is progressed.”
