TALENTED young photographers were recognised during the Rotary Club of Bewdley's heat of an annual competition.

The Rotary Club of Bewdley held their club competition for the Rotary District 1060 The Young Photographer Awards at the Bewdley School and Sixth Form Centre on Thursday, February 16.

Pupils had to submit three photographs surrounding the chosen theme of reflections.

Bewdley Rotary's president and Bewdley town councillor, Derek Killingworth, praised the entrants for their excellent work, with more than 80 students submitting photographs making the judges - Colin Hill and Rtn Bob Hill - jobs more difficult.

Cameron Reaves was named the senior section winner, while Kitty Proctor was named runner-up. The best individual picture award was won by Beth Harper.

While, Sam Annis was named the intermediate section winner, with Leah Gittins named as the runner-up. The best individual picture award was won by William Murdoch.

The individual section winners photographers will now go forward to the district finals in March - hopefully progressing through to the regional finals.
