A GARDEN for all seasons is opening to the public in Halesowen on Sunday (July 2) for the seventh year in a row.

Flora and fauna fans are being invited into the garden of tropical paradise of Peter Bridgens and Michael King as part of the National Gardens Scheme.

The duo’s mature Lansdowne Road garden, which will be open between 2.30pm and 5.30pm, is packed with a variety of more unusual plants.

Peter, who is well-known as “Halesowen’s most tattooed man”, said: “This will be the seventh year we have opened our garden here, but we have been taking part in the National Gardens Scheme for a number of years before we came here.

“We will also be raising money for a number of charities, including Macmillan Nurses, cancer relief, Alzheimer’s Society, and the retired gardeners’ cause, which supports people in their older age to get out into their gardens.”

Admission into Peter and Michael’s garden at 13 Lansdowne Road, in Hurst Green, costs £3.50, where teas will be available.
