A SPATE of vandalism carried out on vehicles in Brandhall last week has launched a police investigation.

Officers from Sandwell Police are appealing for help from the public after the incidents overnight between Monday, September 18, and Tuesday, September 19.

The police claims a silver or grey Citroen Picasso was driven along roads with a man hanging out of a window.

He was using something that resembled a baseball bat to smash several vehicles, breaking windscreens and damaging bodywork, before driving away leaving a trail of destruction.

Officers say enquiries are on-going and no arrests have yet been made.

A police spokesman said: “The damage has affected a significant number of local residents. Whilst nobody has been injured in it has had a huge knock on effect on people, affecting their ability to travel to work, take children to school, visit family and friends.”

Anybody who has information or has seen anything related to the incident on social media that may assist in the investigation should call police on 101.
