KIDDERMINSTER residents who may have seen an injured man in the town between 5pm and 6pm on Sunday (September 24) are being urged to call the police.

Officers were contacted by a member of public who reported seeing two men walking through the area near Woodfield Crescent together, one with a cut to his chest and the second with blood on his face and carrying what is believed to have been a knife.

A third man, across the road, was seen to drive off in the direction of Castle Road in a small, blue car at the time.

Detective Sergeant Steve Cook, of Kidderminster CID, said: “We would like to identify and speak with the men to check on their welfare, as well as establishing how any injuries may have been caused.

“I would like to reassure members of the community that officers arrived quickly on scene and conducted a number of searches and house to house enquiries, which have so far not identified any victims or confirmed that any offences took place.

“I urge anyone who may have witnessed the incident or saw anything suspicious in the area at the time to contact police on 101, quoting incident 601S of September 24.”

Alternatively, people can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online.
