BEER enthusiasts will be able to enjoy a range of ales at a traditional German beer festival returning to Kidderminster this month.

Organised by the Kidderminster Harriers Football Club, Oktoberfest will return to Aggborough Stadium, in Hoo Road, between Friday, October 27, and Sunday October 29.

The Friday will feature a traditional German Oktoberfest event with oompah band, Bierkeller Schunklers - with doors opening at 6pm.

While on Saturday, there will be a "Harriersween" Halloween Party with the Dharma Bums performing and a disco from 6pm. The bar and beers will be available throughout the day.

Finally, on Sunday, there will be a "Harriers Sunday Chill" with Sunday lunches and beer served from midday, with bands performing between 3pm and 6pm. Doors close at 10pm.

Throughout the weekend, guests will be able to enjoy a wide range of local real ales, craft, live music, cocktails and contemporary German street food.

In addition to the Bierkeller Schunklers, there will be live music across the weekend from local bands including Dharma Bums, Balaban, Mistrusted and the Bald Illegals, as well as a live DJ each night.

Event management specialists, Eventology, will be providing authentic German street food each day, including schnitzels, currywurst, bratwurst, German gnocchi, pancrepes and a range of themed cocktails.

Kelly Perks-Bevington, Harriers managing director and event organiser, said: "We were thrilled with the success of the event last year and are excited to host the event again this year.

"The event will be three days long and will include a lot of great live music, as well as a wide range of beers from local breweries. We will also be serving a great variety of cocktails.

"The weekend will take place in a heated marquee on site at Aggborough and tickets are now available on a first come, first served basis due to regulations on capacity.

"We received lots of amazing feedback from our guests last year, and we hope to create many more great memories this year."

Tickets cost £5 a day and include half a pint from an array of selected ales, and are available by visiting khfcstore.co.uk.

Group bookings and beer tokens are available, by emailing Kelly on kelly.pb@harriers.co.uk.
