POPULAR Halesowen groups are joining forces to raise much needed funds for Black Country Women’s Aid at a concert next Saturday.

Halesowen Orchestra and Halesowen and Rowley Regis Rotary Club have come together to raise money for the charity which has supported survivors of abuse and exploitation across the region for the past 30 years.

As part of the concert, taking place at Cornbow Hall on Saturday, March 17, the orchestra will perform Mendelssohn's Fingals Cave, Beethoven Symphony No7 and Weber Bassoon Concerto.

A spokesman said: “As 2018 is the year of the bassoon we are delighted to have talented bassoon player Richard Tattam as our soloist.”

Tickets for the concert, which starts at 7.30pm, are priced at £10 for adults, £5 for full-time students with ID and free for children under 12.

They are available in advance from Halesowen Rotary Club or by calling 0121 550 0956. You can also buy tickets on the door.
