A FUN-PACKED Easter extravaganza is on track to entertain families at the Severn Valley Railway.

The heritage railway is hosting a variety of exciting activities during the Easter weeks, March 31 – April 15, from seasonal competitions to brand-new exhibitions – alongside taking visitors on historic train adventures along the scenic six-station line.

The Railway are also celebrating the tenth anniversary of its Engine House, holding a birthday card designing competition, where participants can win a family Freedom of the Line ticket for a day, and have their work displayed. An Easter chick hunt also promises exciting prizes for participants, and patrons who want to explore the House further can see two new exhibits celebrating the art and history of the railways.

Youngsters can enjoy the comedic entertainment Ronnie Crackers on April 1, bringing punch and Judy, juggling, face-painting and balloon modelling to the party. Dippy the clown will also be at the Engine House on April 2, performing magic, spinning plates, and unicycle riding for visitors.

Visitors can book a special afternoon tea for two at the onsite restaurant, taking place April 2-6 between 2pm-4.30pm, by contacting 01746 862387, or emailing sue.horsley@svrlive.com. The restaurant will also be serving a Sunday roast on April 1.
