OFFICERS from West Mercia Police and firefighters from Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service are locking horns in a charity match in aid of the Primrose Hospice.
The event will take place at Bromsgrove Rugby Club on Finstall Road on Wednesday, March 28. Kick-off is at 7.30pm and gates open from 6.45pm.
Dave King from Bromsgrove Police Station said: “It is open to the public to come along to enjoy the game and help raise money for charity.
“We want to smash them, but they have got a few England fire service rugby players in their team so it is going to be tricky!”
Vintage police cars, modern police vehicles, and fire engines will also be on show for visitors, and West Mercia Police band will be playing.
The Police Cadets and Young Fire Fighters will be in attendance helping collect donations, and there will also be a raffle after the game.
The event is one of three in aid of Primrose Hospice, with Sam Webster running the Virgin London Marathon on Sunday, April 22, and local officers and fire-fighters also carrying out a fundraising car wash in April.
