THE streets of Alcester filled with thousands of visitors over the weekend as foodies tucked into an array of delights at the town’s popular Food Festival.

A whopping 118 stalls lined Alcester High Street from 9am to 5pm on Saturday, as revellers browsed the annual festival in the sunshine.

And there was plenty on offer, with stalls including specialist brewers, freshly-made pizza, and a hogs roast, and fudge, ice cream and crepes for those with a sweet tooth.

An Alcester Food Festival spokesman said: “What a fantastic day!

“We cannot thank enough everyone who made this year's Spring food festival so successful - all the volunteers, the stall holders and the thousands of visitors who turned up.

“The atmosphere was amazingly relaxed and friendly throughout the day.

“The organisers wish to thank all the volunteers who turned out to help and without whom we could not make the day so successful.”
