A DUDLEY teenager has been charged with possessing a knife in Tipton.
The 16-year-old was one of three teens arrested after armed cops descended on Upper Church Lane on Wednesday afternoon.
All three were searched and officers recovered a hunting-style knife, a knife sheath, balaclavas, a large pair of scissors and a small quantity of cannabis.
The youth, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was due to appear at Dudley Magistrates Court today (Friday), where he also faced two charges of breaching a Criminal Behaviour Order.
A 16-year-old from West Bromwich was also charged with possessing a knife in public and was bailed to appear at Dudley Magistrates Court on July 26.
A 15-year-old from Smethwick was charged with possessing a class B drug and was bailed to appear before Wolverhampton Youth Court on July 25.
Following the arrest, a Dudley Police spokesman said: "Great work from our firearms officers in reaching the scene swiftly, seizing a knife and making arrests."
