YOUNGSTERS in Alcester and Studley are being urged to sign up to read six books this summer as part of Summer Reading Challenge 2018.
The challenge asks four to 11 year olds to borrow and read any six library books over the summer.
The theme is Mischief Makers, inspired by the much-loved children's title Beano, which celebrates its 80th anniversary this year.
To take part, all children need to do is sign up at their nearest library where they will be given a colourful collector’s map of Beanotown to keep a record of their reading challenge journey.
Mischief Makers runs in libraries across Warwickshire until September 7.
There’s a whole programme of events and activities planned over the summer, go to warwickshire.gov.uk/libraries to find out more.
