BUDDING historians from a Chaddesley Corbett school stepped back in time to learn about life in Tudor times.
Year 1 pupils from Winterfold School spent a day at Harvington Hall as part of their history lessons.
After fetching water from the well and learning about the roles of the kitchen staff, they took a look at Tudor clothes.
The children also learned about food and how the dirty base of the bread would be cut off and the upper classes given the upper crust.
Other fascinating insights they were given included how to make fire using steel and flint, the different toilet system and the fact there were no taps.
A spokesman for the school said: βIt was great to experience life in such an amazing building and learn about the Tudor way of life, which, the children have learned, was very different from our own.β
