A CHURCH has completed a £100,000 revamp.

St Peter's Church in Willersey started work improving the interior in 2012 by spending £45,000 including fitting new windows.

A further £55,000 was spent on the roof which was showing signs of wear and tear.

Penny Ingles, church secretary said: "We have had a lot of support from the local area and we would like to thank everyone.

"The church is being used as a community facility more now, it is not just shut from Monday to Saturday which I think is very important.

"The church is listed so we cannot change everything, but we are very happy with the work that has been done."

The church received grants from groups including the Gloucestershire Environmental Trust, Gloucestershire Historic Churches Trust, The Listed Places of Worship, The Old Churches Trust and Cotswold District Council.
