A FIVE acre site at Blockley has been sold for housing.

Cameron Homes will build 23 homes at Draycott Road to the east of the village, 11 of them to be affordable.

Scott Winnard from Bruton Knowles’ Land and Development said the aim was to provide a quality scheme.

He said: “The masterplan envisages plenty of green space on the northern and eastern fringes of the site as well as public open space.

“This is a significant residential development, around half of which will be affordable homes including social, affordable rental and shared ownership options for local residents."

The development is dependent on a Section 106 agreement relating to the community and education amounting to £167,731.
