A 33 year old Willersey motorist who failed to give a breath sample to the police has been banned from driving for 20 months and placed on a community order for a year.
At Cheltenham Magistrates court last week Robert Hands of Lee Orchard, Willersey, admitted failing to take a breath test when required to do so by police in his home street on April 7.
As well as the ban and community order, which includes a requirement to do 40 hours of unpaid work, he was ordered to pay £170 in costs and surcharges.
He was told that if he passes an approved driving course by May 24 next year his ban will be reduced by 152 days.
