Glasbury Arts presents a pair of workshops in January - the first a painting workshop with young people presented by abstract artist Kate Freeman, the second a day with Fiona Evans exploring the potential of felting with a resist.

Kate Freeman will be in Glasbury on Sunday, January 21 to provide a stimulating and exciting artistic experience for young people aged nine to 13, in the course of which they will be introduced to new skills.

The following Sunday, January 28, Fiona Evans returns to Glasbury to present a workshop to practise wet-felting using a resist, an inserted layer to stop the fibres from felting all the way through. This technique can be used to create many items from bowls, lampshades, slippers, hats and flowers to textural wall hangings - the only limitation is your imagination. With lots of examples to inspire you, this workshop, whether you are a beginner or next stage, will take your felting experience to another exciting level.

The workshop runs from 10.30am to 4pm on Sunday, January 28 in Glasbury Village Hall
