MUSIC will be played by the Ludlow Concert Band in the town square on Sunday.

Visitors to Ludlow and shoppers will get some extra entertainment when they come into the centre of the town.

The Ludlow Concert Band and Salisbury Concert Band will join forces and play together from 11am until 11.45am with up to 60 players made up from both bands.

It means that there will be plenty of lively tunes and with that number of players the music will be heard throughout the area.

The Salisbury Band will have already performed on Saturday at the Assembly Rooms to raise funds for the Assembly Rooms.

Chris Holmes the Director from Salisbury contacted the Ludlow Concert Band and proposed the joint venture for Sunday which will probably be the largest massed band to perform in the square.

Musicians from both bands are determined to give it all that they are worth.

The collaboration has been given the full support from Ludlow Town Council, Storm the Castle event organisers and the Assembly Rooms who have agreed to help provide seating for the free outdoor concert.
