LUDLOW Town Council has put out an early appeal for applications from organisations that have a need for some extra money.

The Council has an allocation of funds that it makes available each year to organisations to support them in their work.

Criteria for s successful application is that the organisation bidding for the money must be involved in activities that benefit people from the town in some way or another.

It is essential that the group can demonstrate that his has a real need for the money and the Town Council will want to see a financial statement.

Groups that are eligible for support must have a bank account with at least two names.

Money can be provided for capital projects or to assist with on-going expenditure.

Beneficiaries of the scheme may be larger organisations like the Ludlow Assembly Rooms or smaller community based groups.

Organisations that have received money in the past include Ludlow in Bloom and The Friends of Whitcliffe Common.

Applications for the next round of funding close in early September and forms can be downloaded from the Ludlow Town Council website.
