A LANGLEY teenager will appear before a crown court judge after being accused of seriously injuring a 17-year-old boy during a stabbing.
The boy was critically injured when stabbed in the neck during a disturbance in Market Place, Wednesbury, just after midday last Tuesday (December 5). He continues to receive hospital treatment.
Another 17-year-old, from Langley, was arrested by officers at the scene and was charged with the offences of possession of a Class B drug, wounding with intent and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
When he appeared before Dudley Magistrates Court last Thursday (December 7) he was found guilty of possession of cannabis.
The youth did not give a plea to the other two charges.
He was bailed – subject to conditions, including a curfew – and will next appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court on January 8 to face a trial.
