A HALESOWEN dog trainer has captained his agility team to a top three prize at Crufts.
Stuart Milton, leader of Team Kidderminster, appeared at Birmingham’s NEC last weekend for the 127th edition of the world’s largest dog show.
Alongside Karen Gibbons, Harriet Harding, Steven Swankie, Liz Finchett and their dogs – a border collie, a cocker spaniel, a Shetland sheepdog and a crossbreed – the team caught the eye of the judges and picked up third prize in the Agility Team Medium competition.
Taking centre stage alongside their beloved pooches was something the team had relished, with Stuart adding: “We are really pleased, all the dogs ran really well.
“It just comes down to how you handle the pressure. That little bit of luck is the difference between first and third place, I suppose.”
Based out of Kidderminster Dog Club, the agility team have previously achieved three awards in the medium dog category.
