AN application to build a solar farm at Kanes Foods Ltd has been passed subject to a condition.
Councillors agreed to allow the plan, although no building work is allowed to take place outside normal working hours of 9am until 5pm Monday to Friday.
Cllr Richard Lasota stated that he would prefer the solar farm being used to the "agriculture of factory waste."
He also called for restrictions on when the business could undertake the work as "It is a 24/7 business, but the houses in-front could be affected by the work outside of working hours."
Kanes Foods in Cleeve Road, Middle Littleton, will use the farm for agricultural purposes.
13 councillors voted for the proposal with one abstention.
