AFRICAN-style heat did nothing to slow down Malvern's Team Zulu as they embarked on their latest fundraising adventure.

The team - all devotees of the classic 1960s film - donned their red coats and solar topees for the 31-mile Worcestershire Way Walk in aid of St Richard's Hospice.

With the temperature reaching 30 degrees, the walkers still managed to complete the course with plenty of water to help them on their way.

Tarquin Shaw-Young said: "In eight successive years, this was undoubtedly our toughest year because of the extreme heat, but because it is such a great cause close to our hearts we soldiered on.

"Spirits remained high throughout the day with hydration being so important.

"Thank you to all our magnificent sponsors once again, without whom we couldn't do it. Over £2,000 has been raised this year."
