THE owner of an at-home care company is urging Bromsgrove residents to take care of elderly neighbours at Christmas.

Staff at Home Instead are advising residents to keep an eye on vulnerable people in the community by making sure their homes are warm enough and that they have plenty of food in stock.

Offers of help could include, helping with shopping, putting up a Christmas tree and decorations, handing out portions of food or laying an extra place at the table.

Annie Dixon-Dunn, owner of Home Instead Senior Care, said: We all know that December can be a hectic time, full of festive Christmas and new year fun but it can be a lonely time for many people, especially the elderly.

“Just think what a difference we could make if each of us stopped and took time to check on the wellbeing of an elderly neighbour.”
