A DETERMINED 11-year-old from Bromsgrove is putting his best foot forward to raise money for a charity close to his heart.
Samuel Taylor will take on a 17-mile walk from Bromsgrove to Worcester on Tuesday, August 22, in support of one of his grandparents, who suffers from lupus.
Money raised will go towards Lupus UK to support people who suffer from the incurable immune system illness.
Samuel said: “I wanted to do something challenging to try to raise as much money as possible. I have never walked this far before but hope to complete it within the day.”
His dad Daniel, who will be accompanying Samuel on the walk, added: “His family are very proud of him.
“He has organised everything himself, planning the route, setting up a JustGiving page and collecting sponsorship.
“Although he enjoys sport, he has never really walked big distances so it will be a challenge.”
