A LEAGUE table showing how Bromsgrove schools performed in the last year has been published by government education experts.

The results are an early indication of how schools and students have performed following the latest round of GCSE exams.

A more complete picture of everyone's performance will be unveiled by the Department for Education in the new year.

Top of the pile for Bromsgrove is Bromsgrove School which scored above the national average.

Waseley Hills High, South Bromsgrove High, North Bromsgrove High and Colmers School and Sixth Form are among those scoring the national average.

Every school has been judged based on complicated new criteria set by exam experts.
