MORE than 100 Bromsgrove families were left without any water supply last night after a pipe burst.

Dozens of residents took to social media to report the issue, while Severn Trent engineers had to reroute the region's water network to restore some supply before morning.

A spokesman for Severn Trent said: "Our teams have been working to repair a burst water pipe over night that was affecting some of our customers water supplies.

"We're sorry for any inconvenience this caused, but We’re happy to say that customers now have their water back on.

"Our priority is to fix the pipe and get everything back to normal as quickly as possible."

The damaged pipe has now been repaired and Severn Trent is working to restore Bromsgrove's usual water supply.
