A WEATHER warning for strong winds has been issued for Worcestershire.
The Met Office says people should expect "strong to gale force" winds, with gusts reaching 40-50 mph and even 60 mph over higher ground.
The yellow weather warning, which covers large parts of the country, is set to remain in place until 10pm this evening.
Forecasters are warning people to expect "some localised travel disruption" and are warning that there is a risk of trees being uprooted.
Police have already moved a fallen tree that blocked a Wyche Road in Malvern earlier this morning.
The city can expect an afternoon of "gusty showers", the Met Office says, with occasional sunny spells but a risk of thunder and even hail.
Showers will ease overnight, though it will remain windy.
Tomorrow (Wednesday) will be mostly dry but there will be heavy downpours on Thursday before a wet and windy weekend – a far cry from the sunshine and soaring temperatures the city enjoyed only a couple of weeks ago.
