THE Evesham Repair Cafe is celebrating its third birthday.

After starting off at imaGine in the Market Square, the cafe has now found a new home at Evesham Methodist Church.

Tony Piper, who helps to organise the cafe said: "In this throwaway world our repair cafe with its' dedicated team of volunteers helps members of the public repair items that maybe considered totally worthless commercially but still have a useful working life or have great sentimental value to the owner.

"During our three years, hundreds of items have been restored to working order to the delight of their owners.

"The type of items repaired range from various electrical items,to repairs and alterations on clothing,to clocks and printers, bicycles,to items of furniture and sharpening of garden tools.

"Quite often volunteers will combine their various expertise and produce results that amaze us.

"As well as having their objects repaired and rejuvenated visitors can enjoy a cup of tea and delicious home made cakes."

The repair cafe is being held again on Saturday July 8 from 10am until 2pm and takes place every second Saturday of each month.
